Job listings with the SCALL Placement Committee are automatically posted to this list. You do not need to specifically request the job listings from the committee if you are a subscriber to this list. If you have a job to advertise, please contact the placement committee and have the job listed through them so your listing will also be included in the SCALL Newsletter. Not everyone has access to e-mail, so please do not use this as a substitute for the SCALL Newsletter. If what you post is really important, make sure you follow up with the newsletter editor. This is an open list, and as such the responsibility for the content and accuracy of a message lies with the author. Messages are not reviewed before posting and distribution, and may not reflect the opinions of the SCALL Board or the listowner. GUIDELINES & ETIQUETTE Advertisements from commercial vendors/publishers are not acceptable. The author of a message should be consulted before forwarding a message from this or any other list. Please don't post very long documents to this list, but feel free to offer to e-mail a document to those who specifically request it. Avoid typing in all CAPS as that will be interpreted by your readers as SHOUTING. When posting a message, try to include a very specific subject line. Many people receive a high volume of messages every day, and may skip a message that doesn't immediately appear of interest. Remember that this is a written medium, and so it can be difficult to always convey the tone that you intend, so be careful in your use of humor and sarcasm and label it as such.
